What conflicts did William McKinley encounter during presidency!?

McKinley is most known for the Spanish-American War. But the major topic on the domestic front during his administration was bimetallism. Many rural farmers, many from the Midwest wanted inflation. Farm prices had been depressed and they wanted them increased. To create inflation they wanted the free coinage of silver. McKinley opposed the free coinage of silver and an increase of inflation, so he signed the Gold Standard Act of 1900. This banned the coinage of silver and put the U.S. on the gold standard.
